Our Story
Turning Point Living was founded by Myranda Heideman, a caregiver and advocate who spent years watching the system fall short of what people with IDD actually deserve.
The vision was inspired by one of her respite clients. As she witnessed the challenges many individuals face when transitioning from childhood services into adulthood, she saw a critical gap in quality residential options. Too often, individuals were placed in settings that met basic needs but lacked the warmth, dignity, and opportunity needed to truly thrive.
Determined to change that, Myranda founded Turning Point Living to create more than just housing. Today it stands as a reflection of that mission: compassionate, person-centered care in a home where every resident is encouraged to live with purpose, dignity, and opportunity.
